Chinese shares open mixed

Beijing, Oct 9 (IANS): Chinese stocks opened mixed on Friday with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index edging up 0.1 percent to open at 3,146.64 points.

The Shenzhen Component Index opened 0.08 percent lower at 10,386.81 points, Xinhua news agency reported.

The ChiNext Index, tracking China's NASDAQ-style board of growth enterprises, opened 0.02 percent higher at 2,190.84 points.
