Klopp agrees to manage Liverpool


London, Oct 9 (IANS): Former Borussia Dortmund coach Jurgen Klopp has agreed to manage English premier league side Liverpool on a three-year deal.

The 48-year-old German has been in talks with Liverpool after Brendan Rodgers was sacked on Sunday after three-and-half years in charge, reports Xinhua.

Klopp, who also managed another German side Mainz for seven years, has been out of work since May when he ended a seven-year spell at Borussia Dortmund.

His first match in charge of Liverpool will be at Tottenham on October 17.

Liverpool are 10th in the Englsh Premier League table after eight matches.
