Indian Haj pilgrims' toll rises to 101


New Delhi, Oct 9 (IANS): The toll of Indian Haj pilgrims in the stampede has risen to 101, from 81 announced a day ago, the government said on Friday.

"Saudi authorities have identified more pilgrims who died in Haj stampede. The toll of Indian pilgrims is now 101. We have 32 missing," tweeted External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj.

On Thursday, the external affairs ministry had said the toll in the stampede near Makkah had gone up to 81.
