Brief description on Manual Therapy: MT being a specialized advanced branch of physiotherapy is basically an application of an accurately determined and specifically directed manual force to the body, in order to improve mobility in areas that are restricted; in joints, in connective tissues or in skeletal muscles. MT is administered after skillful, precise, accurate assessment and clinical reasoning.
In present times several systematic reviews such as Level I and II and Randomized Controlled Trials (RCT), have proven the efficacy of manual therapy. Now these types of treatments can be used for treating problems of joints, muscles, ligaments and nerves. Moreover it is very useful in case of mechanical lower back pain (which is next in line as the most common problem in frequency to common cold), disc prolapse, neck pain, thoracic pain, pelvic region, shoulder pain, knee joint pain and headache. In all these cases MT provides almost instantaneous relief.
The World Congress on MT will consist of prominent speakers such as Dr Peter Gibbons (Victoria University, Australia), Dr Philip Tehan (Victoria University, Australia), Dr Ali Irani (Mumbai,India), Dr A.G.Dhandpani (Chennai, India), Dr. Patitapaban Mohanty (Cuttack, India), Dr Deepak Kumar (Delhi,India), Dr.Umasankar Mohanty (Mangalore,India) and Dr Valentin Dones III ( Philippines).
