Puttur, Oct 10: A team of ballistic experts, on Friday October 9, visited the spot which witnessed shootout at Rajdhani Jewellers in the town on Tuesday evening. During inspection, the team recovered a third bullet from the scene of crime.

On Tuesday, two masked men riding a motor bike fired three rounds at the jewellery shop even as their two-wheeler was on the move. One of the bullets hit an advertisement board hanging from the wall, while two others hit the glass. Two bullets had been found by the police the same night.

The ballistic experts, during the detailed inspection of the site, removed the advertisement board and found that the third bullet was deposited inside, after piercing the board and hitting the wall in the back. The bullet has left a mark on the wall. The team noted the distance between the road and the jewellery shop and mapped the area.

Local MLA, Shakuntala Shetty, visited the spot on Friday. After getting details of the case from police officials, she instructed police sub-inspector, Abdul Khader, to conduct a detailed investigation and arrest the culprits as soon as possible. Speaking to media persons thereafter, she said she had advised the police to solve this case at the earliest.
