Case filed against Modi over his 'shaitan' remarks

Patna, Oct 10 (IANS): A case was filed against Prime Minister Narendra Modi in a Bihar court on Saturday over his 'shaitan' (devil) remarks.

Lawyer Abhimanyu Yadav filed the case in Muzaffarpur's Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) court.

Modi, who is campaigning for the Bharatiya Janata Party in Bihar, said at one of his rallies that the BJP-led NDA's fight in the upcoming elections was with 'shaitan', referring to RJD chief Lalu Prasad.

The lawyer, in his complaint, said Modi's statement was objectionable and hurt the people of the state.

The Election Commission has ordered a review of the PM's speech in Bihar.
