President Mukherjee condemns Turkey blasts


New Delhi, Oct 11 (IANS): President Pranab Mukherjee on Sunday expressed anguish and deep concern over the deadly terror attack in Turkish capital Ankara, an official statement said.

Two powerful bombs exploded ahead of a peace rally in Ankara on Saturday, killing at least 95 people and wounding over 200.

Condemning the blasts, the president said that the world must remain united in its resolve to fight against all forms of terror and violence.

He said that India stands by the government and people of Turkey in this difficult hour.

Mukherjee also conveyed his condolences to the families of the deceased and prayers for the speedy recovery of those injured.
