ISL: Confident FC Pune City to face Delhi Dynamos FC

Pune, Oct 14 (IANS): After registering consecutive wins in the Indian Super League (ISL) season 2, FC Pune City will look to carry the momentum when they face Roberto Carlos's Delhi Dynamos FC at the Balewadi Sports Complex here on Wednesday.

NorthEast United FC's Zohmingliana Ralte's own goal in the 73rd minute was good enough to hand Pune their second consecutive victory on October 9 after beating Mumbai City FC in their opening match. Pune now have six points from two games.

On the other hand, Delhi have three points from two matches, having won against Chennaiyin FC and lost a game against FC Goa.

Pune's English coach David Platt used his experience to good effect, fielding the right formation without some of his Indian players who are away on national duty.

The absence of the India team players wasn't a factor for the side as the talented lot got the better of their opposition.

On Wednesday too, Pune will look to use their home conditions to best effect and hold on to their winning momentum against Delhi, who will have to put up a good performance to outclass the in-form home side.

Delhi's marquee-manager-cum-player Carlos will aim to use his boys to good effect to sneak in a win against a strong Pune side.

Dynamos overall have a strong side with former Chelsea winger Florent Malouda, former Liverpool full-back John Arne Riise and Ghanaian striker Richard Gadze all in good form but the visitors will have to use their experience to full effect on Wednesday to come out victorious.
