Bangladesh hands over slain Italian's body to embassy

Dhaka, Oct 14 (IANS): The body of an Italian national who was gunned down by unidentified assailants in Dhaka last month was on Wednesday handed over to the Italian embassy.

The embassy received Italian aid worker Cesare Tavella's body around 12.10 p.m. (local time), Xinhua news agency reported.

The body of the Italian national was handed over to the embassy a day after Japanese national Hosie Kunio, who was gunned down on October 3, was laid to rest.

Kunio was buried in a graveyard in Bangladesh's Rangpur city.
