Janet Jackson's statue act to surprise fans

Los Angeles, Oct 15 (IANS): Singer Janet Jackson gave her fans a surprise by pretending to be a statue at her My Music VIP museum.

In a video obtained by Entertainment Tonight, the 49-year-old singer closed her eyes and stood still next to a mannequin donning a black concert costume, reports aceshowbiz.com.

Her fans who thought they would only get to see Jackson's collections at the museum went into hysterics after they noticed that the statue moved and that it was their idol.

The singer then took time to shake hands and take photographs with her fans. One of her fans even got a chance to kiss her cheeks.

In the video, a fan could be heard saying: "Janet, we love you."

Another fan explained the sweet surprise Jackson gave.

"I saw her and I said, 'Oh my God! That's her!'"

Another part of the video showed Jackson talking to a fan about her new album "Unbreakable".

"This is my favourite album, the cover, the title," she said.

Her fan responded: "Oh my God, it's a beautiful picture." Jackson was then escorted out by several bodyguards as she left the room.
