Amit Trivedi collaborates with Big B

New Delhi, Oct 15 (IANS): Music composer Amit Trivedi and lyricist Kausar Munir have joined hands with megastar Amitabh Bachchan to compose the title track of the new TV show "Aaj Ki Raat Hai Zindagi".

Amitabh has given his voice for this peppy number and has also co-composed the title track along with Trivedi, who is known for songs like "Iktara" and "Gal mithi mithi bol".

"The process was extremely collaborative. Bachchan sahab and me, we jammed together and created the title track. It was actually his idea to build up the track slowly. It has a symphonic start and then a clap pattern which was also earlier heard in the teasers of the show. So, it was a lot of fun to work together on it," Trivedi said in a statement.

Munir, who has won many accolades for her lyrics in films like "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" and "Ishaqzaade", penned the lyrics for this special song.

"I have a great working relationship with Amit Trivedi. And what does one say when you have Amitabh Bachchan at the helm, he was so involved with the music and appreciative of the lyrics," Munir said.

"Aaj Ki Raat Hai Zindagi" will be aired on Star Plus starting October 18.
