Vyapam scam: Retired IFS officer found dead on railway track in Odisha

Bhopal, Oct 17 (Zee News): After a brief lull, the Vyapam scam has come back to haunt again with another mysterious death being reported, this time from Odisha.

As per a report in the Hindustan Times, Vijay Bahadur, a retired Indian Forest Services (IFS) officer, was found dead on railway tracks in Jharsuguda.

Bahadur's body was discovered early on October 15, the report said.

The retired bureaucrat had served as an observer for two recruitment tests conducted by the Vyapam.

As per reports, Bahadur had gone to Puri in Odisha with his wife Nita Singh to attend a reunion of 1978 batch IFS officers. His body was found on railway tracks when he was returning to Bhopal.

According to Dilip Bag, deputy superintendent of police, GRP (Jharsuguda), Bahadur prima facie died after falling from the moving train.

But, the post-mortem report is still awaited and probe into the case will progress based on that.

Bahadur's wife Nita has alleged foul play saying her husband had gone to close an open door of the AC compartment and did not return.

As per Nita, Bahadur had gone missing near Raigarh station, some 70km from Jharsuguda.

Bahadur died in circumstances similar to the death of medical student Namrata Damor, whose body was also found on railway tracks near Ujjain in January 2012.

All Vyapam scam related cases were recently handed over to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and the Supreme Court had earlier this month observed that mysterious deaths related to the scandal had “suddenly stopped” after the central agency started its probe.

The opposition in Madhya Pradesh has alleged that people linked to the Vyapam scam were dying mysteriously as part of a conspiracy to silence key witnesses.

It is a scam of mega proportion under BJP chief minister Chouhan, naturally murders are only alternative to destroy evidences.
That is the way criminals run their kingdom and thats the way it is going to be.

But, where it the big mouth 'India wants to know' Arnab Gowswami these days? Is he quite to make his paymasters happy? If yes, then probably, TOI should give a disclaimer mentioning this is a BJP mouth piece, so all opinions and debates are one sided.

Support BJP,you will see all this happening. All BJP critics/thinkers will be silenced and they will get clean chit....I feel BJP is shortsighted looking at their governing style, they will never get elected again at centre.....now only congress is the option at least they are not communal, they must stop corruption that is the only weakness, that does not mean BJP is not corrupt, even BJP is corrupt communal.
so either chose CONGRESS or AAP

Indian politicians is a DARK black mole on the face of Indian history...Pre British Era would have been batter than this corrupt politicians.
No point blaming the P.M for everything. We have only one prime minister in India. Where all he will concentrate? He has to take care beef ban, he has to do the world tour to bring business...!, moreover he has to tackle rising popularity of Sir.Arvind Kejriwal,,,Bihar Election rallies..so many speeches....Come on....one person has to handle so many things...! Please feel pity upon him yaar...
Now this Vyapam is disturbing him.Money swindled is gone..Its gone for ever...Illegal political gains made by the Indian politicians never come back...Just like kaanike dabbi...once gone inside its gone. Now we need at least 3 prime ministers..Because cabinet is nowhere around in Delhi...except Jailtely silly statements...Now looks like India going to take a U turn somewhere..and we are going back...bye..see you.
