Thief returns money after discovering it belongs to orphans

Oct 21 (Emirates247): An Iraqi thief returned 10 million dinars (Dh32,000) he stole from a house two days after learning the money belongs to orphans, a news network reported on Wednesday.

The thief, apparently feeling guilty, left the stolen money in a plastic bag at the door of the house in the eastern Diyala province at dawn, Al Sumeria network said.

“We found the stolen money in a plastic bag left just outside the door.

“The money belongs to orphans whose father died in a bomb attack four years ago,” the Iraqi network said, quoting a source close to that family.
