Mangaluru: Miscreants pelt stones, smash glass - two held

Mangaluru, Oct 21: A gang pelted stones at Kumpala mosque within Ullal police station limits late night on Monday October 19. In connection with this incident, Ullal police have taken into custody two people, whose involvement with this incident is suspected.

After the congregation departed after the namaz at night on Monday, some people heard sound of stones being thrown towards the window doors of the mosque. The Khateeb of the mosque immediately flashed his light and found that the glasses of the windows had suffered damages.

Members of the Jamaat, who suspected involvement of some people passing by that road in the incident, filed a complaint at Ullal police station. The policemen, who have taken two persons, whose involvement in this incident has been suspected, into custody, are investigating.
