Not Govt's fault if one stones a dog: V K Singh on Dalit children's killings

New Delhi, Oct 22 (NDTV): The government cannot be held responsible for the murder of the two Dalit children in Haryana, Union Minister VK Singh said today. And in an afterthought that is expected to land him in controversy, added, "If someone throws stones at a dog, the government is not responsible".

Asked if the government has failed in view of the Monday's killings on the sidelines of an event in Ghaziabad, Singh said, "Don't connect the government with it. It was a feud between two families, the matter is under inquiry."

The administration failed there, the minister said, then added the controversial comment. Haryana is ruled by the BJP, Singh's party.

The children -- two-and-a-half year old Vaibhav and 11-month-old Divya - had died after their house was set on fire, allegedly by members of an upper caste community at a village in Haryana near Delhi, on Monday. Their father -- who sustained burn injuries to save them -- said petrol was poured through the window and the house was set on fire.

While Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar put off his to Sonped yesterday in view of the escalating protests in the area, Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi had met the family and launched a scathing attack on Mr Khattar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and their party, the BJP.

"This is an attitude shared by Prime Minister, the Chief Minister, the BJP and the RSS -- If somebody is weak, they can be crushed. What you are seeing is the result of this attitude," he said. "They are weak and poor, that is why they are being treated like this. This is not the government of the weak."

Under attack from the opposition, the Haryana government has asked for an investigation by the Central Bureau of Investigation into the deaths. Seven people have been arrested in the case so far.

The children were cremated on Wednesday evening, after daylong protests by the locals and the blockade of a national highway.

First try to become a human being then only you can understand the suffering of fellow human being. Being Ex army man and at the helm of affairs of Indian army you did not help the poor people instead you wasted the money of taxpayers and enjoyed all sorts of facilities and now became minister. I really respect the efforts of jawans of nations for keeping a vigil against enemies and protecting all of . But it is matter of shame that personality like VK singh was our army chief

Kudmul Ranga Rao, a high caste Hindu, a teacher, lawyer and a social reformist from Karnataka worked his all life for the upliftment of dalits. He wrote in his will that when he dies, his body be carried by thotis to the cremaion ground. Although, higher caste people did not like it, his son-in-law allowed the thotis to carry his body.
These RSS, VHP people talk about their love for Hindus, I don't expect them to do like Ranga Rao. If the leader of RSS/VHP goes to a koraga colony, shakes hand with them, hugs them, lifts their child and kisses it, partakes meal with them and sleeps in their house, I will say, yes, he is a real lover of Hinduism.

We cannot expect much from a man who faked his birth certificate in order to continue in the Army. He is a man full of hatred. An opportunist who after being exposed by the UPA in the fake certificate issue and rapped by the SC, he tried to be close to Anna camp and even contested election on AAP ticket. But then finally took flight with BJP. His role in TSD and misuse of DGMI funds was proved by the Army-constituted enquiry itself. It's shocking to know that people of such mean mentality led our proud Army

Earlier in the day, when asked about the incident in Sunped village in Haryana's Ballabhgarh on Monday, the former Army chief had said, "See, the thing is, never associate local incidents with the central government (sarkar). There is an inquiry going on. There was a dispute between families. The dispute - how did it turn out - where did the administration fail, after these it come to the Centre.

"For everything...like if somebody throws a stone at a dog, then the government is responsible...it is not like that," Singh said in Ghaziabad in Uttar Pradesh, the constituency he represents in Parliament.
This what he said. But media twisted and cooked it as per their taste. Everyone still remember what he said about medias.

This is India, the India of dark ages and of Stone ages, the so called aspiring superpower who still choose to live as cavemen.

I have said it before in this forum and I will say it again and again...

Unless India does not enforce a fixed minimum wage at par with developed nations for its citizens the slave masters such as the 'Big Great Dane' V K Singh will have the audacity to call some poor man's child a dog.

The caste system is enforced upon certain strata of the Indian society by the Indian slave masters to enslave them and extract cost free labor.

Caste system is an important fabric of society, but it becomes a devil's tool when used oppressively and regressively.

If minister talk like this way where our civilization stands today in the world. If this type of killings of dalits, non veg eaters, lower cast people continues, time is not far away this class of people will revolt against government/system by militant way.It is shame to accept that v k singh was a our former militarily head and wonder how his mind set was growing although he had military training and interaction with the elite people of the world.

Then whose fault it is anyway, those who voted you'll. Yes, it is the people's big mistake that they elected Modi to be PM. He can only go to foreign countries for selfies and give speech on the past government. He can do nothing on the ground big failure in every areas. Manmohan singh was far better than this Joker PM he lost because of the allies.

Dear V.K., Singh you should advise your own party men, the BJP, RSS, VHP as they had criticized UPA government for rapes, falling rupee value and rising prices.

NOW YOUR EXPLANATIONS OF BLAH, BLAH AND BLAH IS NOT NOVICE TO US.
