Curfew clamped on Madhya Pradesh town after stone pelting

Bhopal, Oct 23 (IANS): Communal tensions have erupted in Khargone town of Madhya Pradesh after stone pelting between two groups.

The district police arrested 50 people and imposed an indefinite curfew in parts of the town after some elements from the two groups created trouble and started fighting and pelting stones in the Talab Chowk and Mohan Talkies area of the town on Thursday after the Dussehra celebration.

"At least 10 people, including the police personnel, were injured in the fight between the groups," police superintendent Amit Singh told IANS.

"All the religious events scheduled for Friday have been cancelled because of the curfew in the town," he added.
