Mangaluru, Oct 24:'Hasyancho Paavs- Season 2', a Konkani comedy contest jointly organized by United Friends Bejai and Daijiworld 24x7 was officially launched here at Kalangaan on Saturday, October 24.

The contest was formally inaugurated by the dignitaries by lighting the lamp.

Walter Nandalike the managing director of Daijiworld Media Pvt Ltd welcomed the gathering and said "We have stepped into the second season of 'Hasyancho Paavs'. The contesting teams will perform their talents within the allotted time. Many teams have already enrolled in the contest with many more teams expected to take part.”

Fr Wilson Vitus D'souza the parish priest of Bejai church speaking on the occasion said "It is a great day as United Friends Bejai and Daijiworld 24x7 have jointly organised this comedy contest. This is a forum which will help to bring out more talents. United friends Bejai, an organisation which was started 25 years ago, has rendered service to needy people with many noble initiatives. United friends Bejai and Daijiworld 24x7 have been working for the society. I wish them all the success and wish that Daijiworld grows bigger and bigger."

Frank Fernandes said "God has given different talents to different people. But a platform is necessary to perform those talents in front of the audience. That platform is provided here by United Friends Bejai and Daijiworld 24x7. Laughter can help to reduce the tension in people. There are many types of smiles. Even though one has sadness within, he should have smile on his face. I congratulate United Friends Bejai and Daijiworld and wish them all the success."

Arun Rodrigues, president of United Friends Bejai thanked the gathering.

Fr Denis D'sa the PRO Udupi dioceses, Onil D'souza the director of Daijiworld TV, Raymond D'souza, Rohan Monteiro, Harish Sherigar, Frank Fernandes, Frank D'souza, James Mendonca and Eric Ozario were present on the dais.
