Kolkata, Oct 24 (IANS): A group of transgenders on Saturday accused a Kolkata police officer of "misbehaving" with them when they approached him to lodge a complaint.

"The incharge of Tollygunge police station behaved badly with us. He spoke in a discriminatory manner and only when we expressed dismay that he allowed us to sit," said a transgender.

The group members said they were "assaulted" by youths outside a metro station on Thursday night and they went to the police station to lodge a complaint.
