Moodbidri: Minister Abhayachandra Jain receives threat call

Moodbidri, Oct 24: State sports, youth affairs and fisheries minister K Abhayachandra Jain has received a threat call from an unidentified person claiming to be Ravi Poojary on Saturday, October 24 afternoon.

The internet based call came at around 12.45 pm from a number starting with 5065. The caller said “I am Ravi Poojary speaking. You are involved in Prashant Poojary murder. I will kill you.”

Abhayachandra Jain reportedly replied that he was not involved for which the caller said “You and Ramanath Rai both are involved.”

The caller spoke in Hindi and English. Jain complained to the police in the evening.

Jain also informed the chief minister Siddaramaiah and home minister K J George regarding the call. Police commissioner Murugan visited Jain’s house later in the evening. Extra security has been provided to the minister’s house after the complaint.

    please note that, after police arresting the culprits, & after police getting some important clues this threat call case registered & made it public. but till now the police dept has not confirmed the arrested culprits are belonging to any group. the visit of police commissioner to ministers house is a good move by the administration. if they follow this procedure in prashanth case then public might felt better & it may given the message that the administration giving equal importance to each case without considering caste/religion/money power. it may help create awareness of law & order situation.

    It's totally a fake statement by Abhaya it seems his intention was to divert the issue & create sympathy on him that why he did not visit Prashanth's house so far. Abhaya does not know to behave in front of public except those who familiar to him. I do not believe that he received a call from the underworld guys that he himself might be created if not ask him to take oath from SriKshethra Dharmastala, what do you say?

If the caller speaks in Hindi and English then there is a possibility that he is a Pakistani and a close associate of Nalin Kumar who frequently calls him for Supari.
