National convention of Bethany Education Society set in motion

Mangaluru, Oct 25: Bethany Education Society has ventured to organize the first national convention of Bethany champions with the theme 'On Wings of Excellence towards Harmony’ for the students of Bethany Schools all over the country for four consecutive days starting from Saturday, October 24.

















As many as 273 participants from different states of India have come for the conference.

Sr Wilberta BS, president of BES and superior general of Bethany congregation presided over the inaugural function and hoisted the Bethany Champion flag at St Theresa’s School ground.

A solemn mass was held at St Sebastian Church, Bendur officiated by Dr Aloysius Paul D’Souza, Bishop of Mangaluru on the occasion.

Transformative education for the fullness of life is the aim of this convention. A solemn inaugural function was held in St Theresa’s school hall.

Mayor Jacintha Alfred, secretary of Bethany Educational Society Sr Jose Celine, national director Pontifical Holy Childhood Society Fr Faustine Lobo, president of Karnataka Konkani Sahitya Academy Roy Castelino, parish priest of St Sebastian Church Bendur Fr Antony Serrao, assistant provincial superior Sr M Carmel Rita AC and corporator Sabitha Misquith were present on the occasion.
