No interviews for non-gazetted government jobs: Modi

New Delhi, Oct 25 (IANS): There will be no more interviews for non-gazetted government posts for lower posts from 2016, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced on Sunday.

Making the announcement Modi in his monthly radio programme "Mann Ki Baat" sought to remind listeners about his Independence Day address, when he had said that interviews should be done away with for lower posts.

"The process is almost complete... There will be no interviews for non-gazetted government jobs for group D, C, and B," Modi said.

"It will be implemented from January 1, 2016. We did not want to stop the ongoing process," he said.

I know what is the difficulty to get a government job des days..inspite of clearing the written exams..we have do both pay in lakhs and even have influance..just to get a clerk post in the central/state government a guy/girl belonging to GM..has to shed a minimum of 25 lakhs as bribe..I have faced it,i wasted one year on coaching and lost hope of writting the government exams just because i cudnt clear the interviews because i cudn pay a bribe...except for bank exams there is no transperency in recruitment for any other government job in this country...the central government has stopped interviews for lower posts...good that even the state government stops these interviews which are not personality tests but are bribe tests..and the central/state governments should also monitor the question paper which have been rampant in every recruitment tests these days !!

Really a good move the interview system was ruining the aspirants...after clearing the written exams they had to pay high amount of bribes or wud have to catch some politician's legs...earlier the bribes for non - gazetted posts ranged from 30-40 lakhs! Please dont critisize just for the sake of criticizing, people who have written the exams and who have missed the job,knw the difficulty ...jus because other candidate who has scored lesser than me has got the job jus because he had paid...the Karnataka government also should ban interviews for KAS entry level group A&B posts which are currently sold at 70-90lakhs!!
