One killed, several hurt in Saudi mosque blast


Riyadh, Oct 27 (IANS): One person was killed and several others injured in a suicide blast that targeted a mosque in Najran city, South Saudi Arabia, the Saudi Interior Ministry said.

The attack took place when people were leaving the mosque after performing sunset prayer, the ministry said, adding the bomber detonated the explosive in his belt, Xinhua news agency reported on Monday.

In June, four Shiites were killed while preventing a suicide bomber from entering the hall of Al-Anoud mosque in Dammam city.
