B-Town prays for earthquake victims


Mumbai, Oct 27 (IANS): Bollywood celebrities like Rishi Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra are praying for those who are affected by the earthquake which shook large parts of India, Pakistan and Afghanistan.

The strongest earthquake in 10 years rocked Pakistan on Monday leaving at least 200 people dead and over a thousand injured and causing widespread damage, stretching from the areas near Afghanistan to Kashmir and Punjab regions bordering India. And Indian film stars are saddened by the news.

Here's what they tweeted:

Rishi Kapoor: Concerned for the lives lost in India, Pakistan and Afghanistan due to the earthquake. Heartfelt sympathies.

Priyanka Chopra: Just read about the earthquake in Afghanistan, Pakistan and India.. So scary. God have mercy. My prayers for all affected.

Sonakshi Sinha: Sympathies, thoughts and prayers with the ones affected by the earthquake.

Sajid Khan: Sad to hear about the lives lost in India, Pakistan and Afghanistan due to the earthquake. Heartfelt prayers for the families of the deceased.

Raveena Tandon: Tragedy strikes again in the north. Heart goes out to the bereaved families and those who lost their loved ones in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Hindustan.

Farah Khan Ali: Sad to read of the Earthquake calamities in South Asia. Over 220 Dead. Prayers for the families who lost their loved ones.

Ameesha Patel: My heart goes out to those injured and families that have lost lives in the earthquake. BBC has reported quite a number of deaths.
