Udupi: Jaycees Kaup Celebrate Traditional 'Aatidonji Dina'

Udupi, Aug 5: A distinct Tulunadu celebration 'Aatidonji Dina' was held in Kaup Bhaskar Sowdha under the aegis of Jaycees International Kaup on Sunday August 5.
Udyavar high school teacher Srinivas Rao explained the significance of the month called Aati, in the backdrop of rapid changes taking place in the cultural sphere in the coastal district. Moreover, he elaborated on how the family bonds have thrived especially during the season of Aati among the Tuluvas in the past.
Jaycees Kaup president Vinay Kumar welcomed and presided over. Taluk panchayat member and past president Jagdish Achar was present. Sandeep Shetty proposed vote of thanks.
Over 25 delicacies of Aati prepared by Jaycees members were shared by over 60 people.
