Facebook may soon allow blocking game invites

New Delhi, Oct 29 (IANS): Fed up of the annoying Candy Crush saga requests? Good news for you, as Facebook may soon let users block those unwanted game requests.

At a Townhall-style question-and-answer session at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), New Delhi, Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg said the company could soon find a way out of those irritating game invites.

"I sent a message to the person who runs the team in charge of our developer platform, and I said that by the time I do this Townhall Q&A, it would be good if we had a solution to this problem," Zuckerberg told the gathering.

"She emailed me later that night, and said there are some tools that allow people to send invitations to people who have never used a game, and don’t play games on Facebook," he noted.

“We had not prioritised shutting that down, we just had other priorities. But if this is the top thing that people care about, we will prioritise that and do it. So we are doing it,” Zuckerberg said.
