Mangalore: One Killed, Three Injured as House Collapses at Krishnapur - Pics

Mangalore, Aug 7: One person was killed and three others were injured when a house collapsed owing to heavy rains in Krishnapur near Suratkal here on Tuesday August 7 morning.

Ayisha (38), wife of Hasanabba of Krishnapur died after sustaining serious injuries after their house wall collapsed at 6.45 am on Tuesday morning. Hasanabba too has sustained serious injuries in the incident.  Their children Fathima Shifa (8) and Mohammad Khalandar (5) too have been injured.

Locals said that their house collapse owing to incessant rains that have been lashing the area for the last couple of days.  As reported in these columns the entire city and the district in general have been under rain fury for the past two days.  Along with this heavy storm wind too has been threatening the people.  Many of the low-lying areas in the district have been submerged and people are facing innumerable problems.
