Mangalore, Aug 7: People belonging to minority community in the district in their memorandum submitted to DK district-in-charge minister Nagaraj Shetty, has condemned the state government for sacking Karnataka Minority Development Corporation (KMDC) chairman, Anwar Manippady.
A protest opposing his suspension from the post was held in the city on Tuesday August 7 morning. The protestors said that Anwar Manippady had worked relentlessly in providing most of the facilities for the eligible beneficiaries and had withstood the corrupt system as well as officials besides striving for the welfare of the minority community.
Moreover they demanded that KMDC managing director Salim and Wakf minister Iqbal Ansari should be subjected to investigation since they joined hands to sack Anwar Manippady from his post. They further urged to re-instate Anwar Manippady and grant him justice.
