Udupi, Aug 7: A Sri Rama Sene leader was severely assaulted by the miscreants in Dikriguttu road near Muloor in the purview of Kaup police station on Monday August 6 night.

Mahesh Muloor was assaulted severely by miscreants. They attacked him while he was travelling in an auto rickshaw. He had also been attacked by some miscreants 6 months ago. Later he was admitted in a hospital for 15 days.

Lay Siege:

The Sri Rama Sene activists laid siege to Kaup police station immediately, after hearing the news of attack on Mahesh. The activists asked the police to arrest the miscreants at once.

The police managed to arrest 3 people in this regard. They are identified as Abdul Khalid, Shanawaaz and Mohammed Hanif.

Praveen Naik, circle inspector of Manipal rushed to the spot and looked after the security arrangements.
