Hardik Patel's father offers support for Congress in Gujarat local polls

Ahmadabad, Nov1 (PTI) : Patel quota agitation leader Hardik Patel's father Bharat Patel on Saturday said that the Patel community will support opposition Congress in coming elections to the local bodies in Gujarat.

"We will support Congress as this (BJP) government and the police have committed atrocities on my son," Bharat Patel said. "We are with Congress this time," he told reporters in Sabarkantha district after attending a Congress event where Congress's MLA from Bayad Mahendrasinh Vaghela was also present. "The Patel community is with Hardik and they will show this in the elections," he said.

Hardik is currently in police custody in connection with a sedition case here. Bharat Patel has moved the High Court to get the cases against his son quashed. Elections to six municipal corporations are slated for November 22. Polling will be held for 31 district panchayats, 230 taluka panchayats and 56 municipalities on November 29. Patel community had been a loyal supporter of BJP in the state in the past.

To test a person, should give him/her authority.
True character will be revealed while a person is in authority.
Gujarat model is now time tested in India and abroad.
Will be put to rest first in Gujarat itself by Gujarati's.

MR. Mahendra, you 100% right. Do you remember, I told the first time itself when Daiji published about Hardik Patel. Wait & see the true colour will come out soon. Who financed Hardik PAtel's rally, now everyone know. Shame on this Dongi Congi leaders. They never bother to develop India only developed their Swiss Bank Account. They wants majority of Indians should be poor , so that with false promises they can get vote.

One of the direst political party in the world. By hook or crook they want ruling , so that one again they can develop their bank account.

Now another trip by storing Grains to create shortage problem to increase the Dal rates, so that they can blame NDA.

    @ Hussain sir,
Please read the article twice in detail, the substantive point is - Mr Hardik patel's father want to support Congress is - against Gujarat state govt's high handedness against his son & patel movement(we all saw in tv who was damaging the public property, police were damaging the cars with their lati (shame on Gujarat model, google it & see), who was fighting by carrying out a protest march in order to attract govt's attention & wisdom.

Even if Congress comes to power in Gujarat, Patels can't get reservation there...Study hard and get the seats its as simple as that..Its all strategy of PATELS to threaten Modi to invoke reservation ...Congress can't be fools..This agitation should be halted off now or in future

I am not talking about Patel's reservation demand here, ....what you say about reservation is ok to me..., but the big picture here is - Gujarat model of governance (where an un-precedented blocking of telephone / mobile / internet connectivity and use of excessive force etc., which are apparently reported & available in public domain).

Before Guj Municipal polls let Namo & Amit pass the Bihar test after loosing badly in Delhi (if i am not mistaken, the informal news doing the rounds is that NDA is going to do very badly in Bihar, courtesy - Darling Dal price).
