Complaint lodged against Harbhajan Singh over serving tobacco at wedding

New Delhi, Nov 2 (Zee News): Harbhajan Singh’s wedding to Bollywood actress Geeta Basra on Sunday sparked a controversy when some Sikh organisations filled a complaint against the India cricketer for serving tobacco at the event.

As per the media reports, the Sikh organisations have demanded action against the cricketer. In fact, they have also warned that they would lodge a complaint against the off spinner at the Akal Takht — the highest seat of power of the Sikh religion.

Sikhism doesn't allow consumption of tobacco and alcohol.

It has been learnt that 113 types of tobacco were served in the high-profile marriage ceremony in Jalandhar.

Harbhajan Singh-Geeta Basra had tied the nuptial knot on Thursday, October 29, after a nine-year of courtship.
