Jogindernagar, Nov 2 (IANS): Himachal Pradesh Governor Acharya Devvrat on Monday urged the youth to step forward to work for removing social evils from society and take the responsibility of building a strong nation.
Speaking at the annual function of Dayanand Bhartiya Public Senior Secondary School in this town in Mandi district, he said the youth should associate themselves with constructive activities and realise the importance of hard work in life which alone leads to success.
He called upon them to stay away from drugs and adopt a healthy lifestyle focussed upon growth and development.
The governor said the primary objective of education was to instill human values among children, and added that huge responsibility rested on the shoulders of the teachers who carried out the most important task of nation building.
He said the teachers should be sincere towards their responsibilities and values like discipline, patriotism, spirit of service, respecting teachers and elders should be integral part of the curriculum.
