Kundapur, Nov 3: “Honouring those who have served the hometown is the responsibility of conscious people. Giving civic honor identifying the service of B Jagadish Udupa is praiseworthy”, said Basrur Mahalingeshwara temple trustee B Appanna Hegde.







He was speaking after presiding over 60th Kannada Rajyotsava celebrations and civic honor to retired headmaster B Jagadish Udupa held by Ramachandra aided higher primary school Japthi, old students, and study enthusiasts in and outside the country and villagers at Sriramachandra aided higher primary school on Nov 1.

Responding to the honor, B Jagadish Udupa said that the knowledge provided by Kannada is better than other languages. “It has that immense power. It has both values and culture in it, he said and added that he will be donating Rs one lac to the students from the school that have excelled in SSLC and PUC.

School founder B Subraya Udupa felicitated B Jagadish Udupa.Chaitanya Yuvaka Sangha Japthi honorary president J Santhosh Shetty spoke about Kannada language.

Kundapur taluk Akshara Dasoha assistant director Seetharam Shetty conveyed his best wishes. Local education official and coordinator H Shobha Shetty, Bangaluru training center’s Upendra R Shetty, Bangaluru Apollo hospital Medical director Dr Raju Mogaveera, Moodbidri education officer Govinda Madivala, Hombadi Mandadi grama panchayat member Chandrashekar Hegde, School management team president Shankeranarayana Karantha, Ullooru Karthikeya temple management’s Parameshwara Udupa, Japthi retired headmaster Srinivasa Ullooru, SDMC president Ganesh Shettigar, Old students association president Chandra Shetty Ellahaklu were present.

Saurabha Madhyasta said prayer. School headmaster Ramakrishna Madhyasta welcomed. Teacher Pushpa Jagadish Udupa proposed Vote of thanks. Teacher Sathish Shettigar Japthi and Geetha compered the programme.

Free medical checkup and voluntary blood donation camps were held in the morning. Old students Dr Raju Mogaveera, Medical director of Apollo hospital Bangaluru led the medical camp. Kundapur Red Cross unit led the blood donation camp.
