Mumbai, Aug 9: The annual general body meeting of Greater Mumbai Co-Operative Banks Association and distribution of award for the year 2005-06 was held at Kohinoor auditorium, Prabhadevi, Dadar (West) on Tuesday August 7.
The Bharath Co-Operative Bank (Mumbai) Ltd bagged supreme bank award, for exceeding Rs 100 crore of turn-over and The R S Co-Operative Bank bagged excellent bank ward below the category of achieving Rs 100 crore of turn-over. The North Kanara GSB Co-Operative Bank bagged the runners-up supreme bank award for exceeding Rs100 crore of turn over.
Former state minister Anand Rao Adsul was the chief guest present. The meeting was chaired by Association president Nagesh Povkar. Association vice-president Chinthamani Parashuram Wagh, chief executive officer Ashok Vittal Borde and other office-bearers were present at the dais.
The Bharath Co-Operative Bank deputy chairman Vasudev R Kotian and chief executive officer and general manager J C Poojary received the award from Association president, Anand Rao, during the award distribution ceremony. The R S Co-Op Bank chairman Sadanand D Nayak, deputy chairman G S Nayak, chief executive officer Shashikanth Abhang, Vittal F Patkar, Mahendra Nayak, received the award from Association president Anand Rao, on behalf of their bank.
The R S Co-Op Bank has bagged this award for the firth consecutive fifth time.
