Daijiworld Media Network – Mangalore (RD)

Mangalore, Aug 10: Chandana channel of Bangalore Doordarshan (DD) will be telecasting Konkani poetry session on the occasion of 60 Independence Day celebrations on Sunday August 12 at 3 pm.

  Well-known Kannada poet Jayant Kaikini of popular Kannada film 'Mungaru Male' fame, Jayashree Shanbhog, noted writer S M Krishnaraya, young Konkani poet and editor of 'Mithr' Konkani weekly Lloyd Rego and up and coming Konkani poet Wilson Kateel have participated in the poetry session.

The same programme will be re-aired on Wednesday August 15 at 11 am.

    This is a very good news. Congratulations to all participating poets. Happy to learn that popular composers Jayant Kaikini, Elyer Takkode and Wilson Kateel too are going to perform in this session.
