Defeat of Modi's arrogance in Bihar; BJP, RSS can't divide the nation: Rahul Gandhi

New Delhi, Nov 8 (Zee News): Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi on Sunday termed the Bihar poll results as a "victory of unity over divisiveness" and congratulated Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and RJD supremo Lalu Yadav on the massive win.

"Congratulations to the people of Bihar, to Nitishji, to Laluji, to the Congress leaders, karyakartas and the Mahagathbandhan on this victory,” he said.

"This is a victory of unity over divisiveness. Humility over arrogance. Love over hate. A victory of the people of Bihar," Rahil said while addressing a press conference.

Targeting the BJP government at the Centre, the Congress leader said, “It is clear message for PM Modi. The country is telling him (PM) you cannot win election by polarising two communities. The BJP, RSS cannot make Hindu-Muslims fight.”

Giving a piece of advice to PM, Rahul said, “Modi should understand that he is not just BJP's PM, he is the PM of the entire nation. He needs to cut down his arrogance.”

“The arrogance of the Modi government should come down. This has led to BJP's defeat in Bihar. This will benefit him and the country,” he added.

The Congress leader also took a jibe at PM Modi's foreign tours and said, “PM should stop foreign tours, instead go and meet farmers, labourers and the youth whom he had promised jobs while campaigning for Lok Sabha polls in 2014.”

PM Modi should stop campaigning in every state level elections and start working. He should work on changing his approach as it will benefit him and the country, Rahul added.

Rahul, meanwhile, extended his full support to Ntish Kumar, saying his party Congress will remain firmly behind the Bihar Chief Minister in all his decisions.

His reactions came the JD(U)-led grand alliance secured a thumping majority in the Bihar assembly defeating the BJP-led NDA convincingly.

I just commented in another article that Congress is celebrating as if Congress won with clear majority. What a shame. This joker giving statements as if they won the election with clear majority for Congress. Look at the position Congress has reached. No where or at a corner of the election news Congress is lying. Instead of working to strengthen the party, he is giving statements against BJP party and Modi who swept them an year back. Yes, it's a step back for BJP, but not to the extreme that every tom and herry starts giving statements. especially anybody from the congress.

it is bcoz of piggybacking on nitishs charisma, congress got 27 seats.nitsh will not do the same mistake again in national level as he dont want to identify himself with party indulged in massive scams one after another.it was only out of compulsion he joined with them this and it cost him 13 seats.else nitish would have got 13 seats more.

even if bjp piggybacked on jdu ,bjp would have also got more than 100 seats.everyone knows congress story is over in national politics.from now on its only bjp and third front(that too if third front has credible leaders like nitish and not corrupt leaders like lalu, mamata etc).the absence of projecting local leaders have dented bjp.yeddy will be brought to forefront in karnataka from hereon and also in other states local leaders will be groomed.bjp will do massive course correction nationwide from hereon and will emerge stronger than before.

everyone knows which party is history in national politics bcoz of thier severe appeasement policies.your comments like "its a victory of congress" is like an ostrich which puts its head in sand and thinks it is safe and steady.
too much power to modi/shah lead to them being arrogant.now they will be cut to size by bjp/rss and group decisions will be taken from hereon.jaitleys anti poor/farmer/common man policies and pro corporate policies also led to debacle.all this will be corrected and modi/shah alone cant decide matters regarding policies from hereon which is a good devolopment.last but not the least as far as congress is concerned they will never rise from thier 2014 debacle if one family and its generations rules the party indirectly or directly forever.people are too intelligent these days to recognise this.

BJP is doing big mistake of only playing religious and intolerance politice forget luxuries it is hard for common Indian even to get their basic needs like dal vegies housing, education, medical aid fulfilled. BJP and its members have been bluffing the public, Bihar elections is a big set back for them. They were talking about bringing the black money back to India and every Indian citizen will get Rs 8 lakh. Where is that money? Now they are come out with a new Investment Plan to raise party funds, urging people to forgo their LPG subsidy to help the poor people have an LPG connection. I don't know how many poor people would be benefited and where all this money would reach. Please don't fool us.

nitish will rejoin bjp in near future as he will not tolerate the tantrums of highly corrupt party rjd which is the largest party in this alliance.bjp/rss has already sent overtures towards nitish as he is thier own guy. nitish will be with bjp during 2019 ls elections as he is too close to bjp and rss except modi/shah.its just a matter of time nitish and bjp will be patching up.so it is a shortlived success for anti bjp parties.enjoy

My Prediction in another forum proved right- any party that wins will have absolute majority with big gap without neck & neck as predicted by many polls.
This happens when 31% Party gets arrogant & brazen & instead of fulfilling its poll promise always blames others & takes other agendas which take the development plank to the back side taking the nation to mythical times won't work.
When this happens the other 69% parties get together to oust the monster that is biting at their heels & will spell doom to their existence.
The Nation is beneficiary of this polarization as no party can dream of subjugating some weaker sections or minorities with brute majority permanently.
I Laud the voters & National Leaders who foresaw this & kept checks & balances in the system to stop & save the Unity of Democratic Nation.

It's the lesson for Modiji and his government. Ever since BJP came on power, there is increase in cost of living, rape and murders and the culprits are mostly freely moving in the country. A good PM looks into the people's needs but that was not his dream. His dream is visiting countries and talk. Its the time to take charge of governing the people with equality, peace and harmony. Treat all are equal. Allow beef (its buffalo meet) and take care of the cows with love and care.

This election result was very crucial.
    1. Whole world was watching on the results, as they were seeing the Fake promises Modi gave to people and was not at all bothered to deliver them.
    2. Whether people of India have adequate IQ, and are capable enough to understand whether they are being deceived by false promises or not was the test!
    3. This result proved that India is now not a land of snake charmers, people are able to distinguish honest and dishonest.
    4. Again it is proved that, one who promises a lot seldom delivers.
    5. Nation can not be ruled merely by arousing majority emotions, but by fair application of provisions of the constitution.

Lessons to learn from this election:
    1) Do not believe in media polls, they could be biased. Only CNN-IBN gave results which are close to final tally, yet others claim they got it right, specially NDTV and TOI.
    2) Dont' divide nation on religious line. This been done by RSS again and again, it won't work.
    3) People can be fooled once or twice, but not always. Modi hopefully learns this and works against his own nick name.

When the silent majority raises their voice - it is always thunder.
Voice that raise to correct the Govt is not anti-national, but the voices that promote corrupt govt., are for sure. People know it.

BJP Bhakts hopefully know in future how to respect people.

Dear Rahul Gandhi the mandate given by Bihar voters is the fitting answer for Modi & Shah. I fully agree Credit goes to the good administration of Nitish in allience with BJP in the past for 10 years. Corroupt and convicted Lalu joined with him is little bitter taste not in the good interest of Bihar state. Your party failed give good administration you have failed understand reality of this nation which is the major set back to your party. There are very good leaders in congress but all need to hang behind you because you born in Nehru dynasty though you are not capable for top post. Modi failed because he choose his chela Amith Shah as BJP Pesident sidelining most of senior, capable, honest leaders just to say yes sir. Congress is also following same path without Nehru family no others can lead the party? Congress has no hopes under your leadership BJP will pave way to opposition by their mistakes and loose talks try to grab that oppourtunity. Your party can not rest without power and will go to any extent to tarnish other party credentials.

This election has made Ghatbandan formula a success in winning against the BJP. it is also a reflection of things that will unfold in the assembly elections in other states that are due. however, since Congress was a national party and had ceded ground to regional parties with the objective of defeating BJP, what will be the type of opposition to BJP in 2019 will be interesting. Some scenarios we can think of.
1.All regional parties along with congress forming a grand alliance under the leadership of some strong national face.

    2. If Congress believes that Modi has lost all the popularity he had, may be itching to go it alone since there is no other national party.

Since the Ghatbandan is not a new formula but was used against Congress when it was formidable but eventually began splitting , its success will depend on the unity they will have to demonstrate and keep which is very difficult given that these groups within Mahagatbandan were fighting each other bitterly.
Finally when the Power sharing issue comes up there will be lot of bickering.

The Bihar elections clearly shows a pointer for the future.

The Congress Party at the National level must re-organise itself under the leadership of Manmohan Singh with men like Chidambaram, AKAntony, Chandhy, and others as executive committee members - with no role to play at all for Gandhi family members, who can remain as Party workers only.
Manmohan Singh has a bigger stature than Modi or anyone else in the country. He together with Nitesh Kumar, Mamta Bannerjea,Umer Abdulla , Laluji and also roping in stalwarts like Julios Reberio, Arun Shourie, Shekar Gupta and also Siddaramaiah - should start active participation in public service of the county - and they can certainly give a stern fight to the BJP-RSS combine, for that matter literally challenge the might and cause the permanent demise of the divisionary forces within the country - and decimate such forces for good even before the next Parliamentary elections or even other State elections which are in the pipeline.

But a solemn and polite Adeos to the Gandhi family should be a priority but more dignified than the harsh adeos BJP gave its stalwart LKAdvani.

Well Said Rahul ..Love has won over hatred . Can bjp talk about unity ,love and tolerance ? No.never .They wanted to divide people ,spread hatred , incite violence and create anarchy to get majority votes and marginalise minorities. Now Bihar has given them befitting reply and soon India too.

Biharis have wisely chosen the secular parties over divisive party and hate mongers.

Jeevan, you should specially thank Amit shah, Fekuji, Ashok singhal, Giriraj singh, Sakshi Maharaj, Adithyanath etc for their superb contribution to Grand Alliance victory.
