It's fall of Modi, rise of 'mahanayak' Nitish: Sena

MUMBAI: Nov 9, DHNS The Shiv Sena, the oldest ally of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), on Sunday targeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi while describing Janata Dal (United) leader and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar as a “mahanayak” after the landslide victory of the Grand Alliance in the polls.

“We congratulate Nitish Kumar, this result will be turning point in country’s political future. The outcome denotes decline of a leader,” Shiv Sena spokesperson and Rajya Sabha member Sanjay Raut said in a political jibe targeted towards Modi.

“The prime minister has devoted time for the Bihar elections…parties contest elections in the name of leaders…Congress contested elections in the name of Sonia ji or Rahul ji and when they lose, it is the responsibility of Sonia ji or Rahul ji. Similarly, the Bihar result is Modi ji’s responsibility,” he said. “If there are elections in Maharashtra now the results will be the same. We are not scared of elections,” said Raut, whose party, Sena, is an ally of the BJP and is part of the Modi-led NDA government at the Centre and Devendra Fadnavis-led government in Maharashtra.

Political hero
Raut, who is also the Executive Editor of “Saamana”, the Sena mouthpiece, said: “This is a big win for Nitish Kumar. He has emerged as a mahanayak (political hero),” a comment that would not go down well among the rank and file of BJP. Shiv Sena president Uddhav Thackeray called up Nitish Kumar and congratulated him. “Uddhav ji spoke to Nitish ji and congratulated him for the victory….he told Nitish Kumar that people have once again reposed faith in him and have given the mandate to govern Bihar,” a Shiv Sena spokesperson said.

Maharashtra Navnirman Sena president Raj Thackeray, once an admirer of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and a critic of Nitish Kumar and Lalu Prasad, on Sunday congratulated the two leaders from Bihar.

“It’s a victory for the politics of regional pride, development and social justice. I feel that development of Bihar should happen so rapidly that Biharis will stop migrating to Maharashtra and other states,” Raj Thackeray said.

I have one question to all who talk in favor of Bjp government:
In May 2014 Crude oil was at 110$ / Barrel and petrol prices at 75Rs / Ltr.
Almost more than 8 months now Crude oil at 40 - 45 $ / barrel and petrol prices at 65Rs in India. So Modis campaign charges well paid back to Adani’s and ambani’s. Appreciate Modis honesty towards investor. Now he can realize investors don’t help him to get votes and hope he will learn some sort of lesson if not full.

Trying to see the result from a bipartisan angle. Great victory for Nitish however Biharis have not served themselves well by electing corrupt Laloo and his party members. As far as NDA is concerned, it is a great wake up call. The party needs to control loose toungue and also need to distance the religious obsession some fringe elements are indulging in. I am particularly concerned about the deep divide in our district. I think the senior leaders of NDA do have good intentions for the development of India but they can not progress if they mix religion with politics. NDA's allies did not bat or bowl. Poor performance. SS is an opportunistic party. They lack leadership. Udav is good man but not fit to run his party. I will not be surprised if SS joints Janata Party that will be headed by Nitish in the near future. Deve Gowda will wake up and say that let us have a Maha Gat Bandhan - Janata Party version 2.

If JDU had got 110 seats like in 2010 and RJD had got some 40 or 5o seats then JDU with support of congress with 24 seats would have formed the govt without any problem for 5 years as both congress and RJD cannot topple the govt on their own. But here RJD is the kingmaker and Lalu will in all probability try to bring his sons to prosper rather than Bihar. Voting Nitish is the best thing and voting Lalu is the worst thing Bihar people has done to Bihar.

BJP relied very heavily on abusive and fake supporters. Modi used the same barbs that were heard before.

All it looked like only action plan BJP has got for India is to let RSS run all the operations, while Modi touring the globe.

A superhero of 2014 election, if Modi can not even silence motormouths within BJP, that proved to people his capability.

This is timely good bye they said to BJP, to tame them from arrogant and abusive nature.

Pretty disappointed with the level of engagement from the readers. I see comments either for or against Modi. I could not see any bipartisan comments. None have mentioned anything about election of laloo's party which has bagged majority of the seats.Laloo is a convict and amply displayed his love for his family. Even appointed his wife as chief minister. The poor lady could hardly read and write for get about managing the state. I read excellent analytical comments in Times of India but in this paper I could see only biased posts. Mangloreans need to grow up please

..its a victory of alliance..Its not fall of BJP, OR VOTE against so called intolerance or against communalism so on..some media houses also played a very big role by distorting statements, crimes shown as communal events so on..BJP deffinately not lost due to MODI or campaign so on, its simple arithmetic & unethical aligns..these kind of unethical alliance in the pretext of fight against comunalism will work in every state..in UP, Congress can ally with SP,BSP,RJD,AAP,LOK DAL etc against BJP..BJP will loose certainly..Janata party formed against Congress, they are joining together!!..SC convicted LALU indirectly supported by every one including KEJRIWAL!!..If the sole aim of all parties is survival against BJP & defeat of MODI,then everything thing is possible..we can expect MAMATA aligning with LEFT parties also..But look at the parties (except CONGRESS),all are purely socialistic, anti development parties which is not at all good for 21st century INDIA where aspiration of younger generation, Innovation, employment need of the hour..

But still Modi is Modi and his development projects for the country should and will be continuing. This joint venture will not remain for longer. soon we will hear the issues between the alliances and sure this new govt will be in trouble.

One can only be pleased about the devastating defeat of the BJP in Bihar. Democracy has been strengthened and the results show clearly attacks on minorities, intolerance, a highly vitiated atmosphere are not accepted. Eminent historians released recently a joint statement and said:” What the regime seems to want is a kind of legislated history, a manufactured image of the past, glorifying certain aspects of it and denigrating others.” The BJP and the government have been criticised for not speaking out against religious attacks, “saying their silence has encouraged Hindu hard-liners to justify the violence and assert Hindu superiority.” To weaken the BJP in coming state elections the Opposition parties should look at the success of the grand alliance in Bihar. This shall become a template for Opposition parties ranged against it in various states, especially in key ones like UP which is slated for the assembly polls in 2017. Democracy is the clear winner and has shown strength.

    Best regards

BJP is doing big mistake of only playing religious and intolerance politice forget luxuries it is hard for common Indian even to get their basic needs like dal vegies housing, education, medical aid fulfilled. If there is immediate election to Maharashtra Assembly and if Shive Sena forms alliance with NCP and fights election, then BJP is going to lose badly like Bihar. Because the banning of Beef and sale of old Cows by Hindu farmers is also banned in Maharashtra which has caused lot of anger among rural Hindu farmers too.
As these Hindu farmers do not eat beef they cannot kill old cows in their house, and also they cannot sell it to Kasai and earn few bucks to feed their hungry children because of beef ban by Fadnavis govt. This has caused lot of anger among villagers towards BJP govt.

PM Modi is really not doing anything from what he has promised in election speeches despite having clear majority.
See Dal Price rise, law and order!
One who promises a lot, seldom delivers is very true with Modi.
On the other hand, Nitish kumar is silent worker.
He made Polio drive, rural education promoted by Bill gate foundation, great success in Bihar.
Nitish works hard to be cost effective in everything, including his own life, in tune with suffering masses, unlike Modi who is all for himself.

YESTERDAY MORNING BJP WERE FIRING CRACKERS. IN THE AFTERNOON MANY OF THE BJP GOT HEART ATTACK.

IF BIHARIS STOPS MIGRATING TO MAHARASHTRA. THEN SHIVSENAS WILL HAVE TO DO LABOR JOB.
THAT TIME THEY REALISE THE POWER OF BIHARIS.

Biharis were targeted, but they emerged wiser than all, in the land of Buddha, the wisdom is ingrained.
