Three Madhya Pradesh sales tax officials caught for graft


Bhopal, Nov 18 (IANS): Three sales tax officials were arrested late Tuesday after they were caught accepting a bribe of Rs.3 lakh in Madhya Pradesh's Sagar district, an official said on Wednesday.

Superintendent of police in the Lokayukta office, Geetesh Garg told IANS that the officials were arrested after a businessman lodged a complaint.

Suresh Yadav in his complaint said that the officials told him to pay them a bribe of Rs.3 lakh per month.

The three officials have been granted bail, Garg said.
