Three injured in Kashmir town blast


Srinagar, Nov 20 (IANS): Two troopers and a civilian were injured on Friday in an explosion in Pampore town of Jamm and Kashmir's Pulwama district, a police official said.

"Two CRPF (Central Reserve Police Force) troopers and a civilian were injured in an explosion near the J&K Bank branch in Pampore town today," a senior police officer told IANS here.

"The injured have been shifted to hospital. The area has been surrounded and the exact cause of the explosion is being ascertained."

Following the explosion in the town situated 14 km away from Srinagar city on the Srinagar-Jammu highway, traffic was halted and markets were spontaneously closed there.
