Mumbai, Dec 1 (TOI): The state government on Monday said it wanted the custody of four Thane corporators in builder Suraj Parmar suicide's case to question them about various financial transactions. Special public prosecutor Raja Thakre said various financial transactions were done and mentioned one done by corporator Najib Mulla to NCP MLA Jitendra Awhad.
Justice Ajay Gadkari is hearing the pre-arrest bail applications of corporators Vikrant Chavan of the Congress, Najib Mulla and Hanumant Jagdale of the NCP, and Sudhakar Chavan, an Independent.
On October 7, Parmar shot himself at his under-construction building. He had left behind a 13-page note in which he blamed harassment by corporators and civic officers. The police registered a case of abetment of suicide on October 12.
