Mumbai, Aug 19: Yakshagana Taalamaddale, Bheeshma Vijaya was held at Thakur auditorium, Dombivli, organized in association with Jagajyothi Arts and Cultural Committee, Dombivli, recently.

Udayavani reporter, K N Shivakumar was the chief guest present at the programme.  Prof Sitaram R Shetty, veteran Bhagavat Polya Laxminarayan Shetty, entrepreneur Shekar R Shetty honoured the chief guest by offering flowers and fruits, draped the shawl and presented with mementos.

Shivakumar while acknowledging the honour, commended the yeomen service of Jagajyothi Arts and Cultural Committee, in nurturing the art besides honouring the artistes by specially inviting them from from their native to Mumbai.

Jagajyothi Arts Group would be an ideal example of proving the mettle of youth, by providing them adequate guidance to undertake worthy activities, Prof Sitaram R Shetty opined.

Arts Group president honoured the sponsors and well wishers during the programme.  Group secretary Vasant N Suvarna compered the programme and delivered vote of thanks.  Yakshagana Taalamaddale Bheeshma Vijaya was held later.

Arts Group president, Sukumar N Shetty, organising secretary Ramesh A Shetty, sub committee executive president Sa Daya, Chandra Naik, Sadashiv Shriyan were present at the dias.
