Mumbai, Aug 19: “Mathrabhoomi Co-Operative Society has been advancing loans to all besides Bunts community brethren in Mumbai for the past two decades.  It has been advancing loans chiefly to hoteliers to renew their trade licenses. The Society aims at the community brethren to avail services, in order to achieve significant progress in various enterprises.  Moreover the Society has been fully set to secure RBI approval for converting into full pledged Co-Op Bank” Mathrabhoomi Co-Operative Society Ltd chairman, Shivaram G Shetty Ajekar said.

He was speaking while presiding over the 19th annual general body meeting of Mathrabhoomi Co-Operative Credit Society Ltd, sponsored by Bunts Association Mumbai, held at Bunts Association Swami Mukthanand audiorium, located in Bhandary Estate, Kurla East.


Bunts Association president, Dr P V Shetty said that the loans are to be advanced to economically backward brethren of the community.  Moreover let the Society increase its branches from the existing three branches thereby reach the community brethren residing in nooks and corners of Greater Mumbai.

Mumbai Bunts Association president, Jaya K Shetty said that he is pleased to know that the Society is geared up to transform into Bank, with the systematic approach followed by the disciplined staff.  Bunts community has been assured of success in whatever field they venture into.  Our progress should depend on farsightedness.  The thoughts of ill will should never crop up. 

Moreover, he appealed to the community brethren to attend the inaugural ceremony of Bunts Centre shortly. 
Bunts Association former president, R C Shetty offered motion for the programme, by lighting the lamp.
Bunts Association vice president Thokurguttu Bhaskar Shetty, honorary secretary K D Shetty, honorary treasurer C A Karunakar A Shetty, Bunts Association Mumbai president Dr Padmanabha V Shetty, vice president Aikala Harish Shetty, Mumbai Bunts Association president Jaya K Shetty were present.



Assistant general manager, S S K Soorappa, senior manager Mallika P Shetty, Poornima U Shetty, manager Santhosh V Navrekar and other dignitaries were present.  Bunts community eminent entrepreneur M D Shetty, R C Shetty, Anand Shetty, Prof. Sitaram R Shetty, B M Shetty, Sudhakar Shetty Vashi, extended suggestions and conveyed best wishes.
Mallika K Shetty and Prathima Shetty, rendered prayers.  Honorary treasurer Karunakar A Shetty presented the annual accounts. Honorary secretary Sumodhar D Shetty introduced the guests and proposed vote of thanks.
