Puttur, Dec 4: In an incident which occurred inside forest at Konadka within Konaje village falling under the jurisdiction of Uppinangady police station, a man was found to have hanged himself. The incident came to light on Thursday December 3.
The person who killed himself in this fashion has been identified as Laxman (32), son of Monta Mugera.
Laxman's wife had got admitted into Lady Goshen Hospital Mangaluru for her second delivery. She had given birth to a female child on November 26 and continues to be treated in the said hospital.
Laxman was showing symptoms of depression of late. He had slept at his home on December 1, but was not to be since the next morning. The family members, who were searching for him, found his body hanging from a tree on Thursday. On the basis of a complaint filed by Bharat, brother of the deceased, the Uppinangady police have registered a case.
