Mumbai, Aug 20: Prabhakar Kunte, senior Congress leader met governor S M Krishna at Raj Bhavan here on Saturday August18.
He presented the governor a portrait of veteran freedom fighter Madam Bhikaiji Cama. The portrait was especially presented to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the hoisting of the 'Flag of Indian Independence' by Madam Cama at the second International Socialist Congress held in Stuttgart, Germany on August 22, 1907.
A small booklet on the life of the late Madam Cama was also given to the Governor.
