Udupi: Sari used as noose snaps, but woman falls down and dies

Udupi, Dec 5: A woman who tried to end her life by making noose from a sari died as the sari snapped under her weight. Still, the woman did not survive.

This incident happened at Pandubettu in Ambalpady on Thursday December 3. Baby Poojarti (62) from this village had hanged herself on Thursday evening by tying a sari to the roof beam at the main hall of her house. The sari gave way, and she fell to the floor.

The family members took her to a private hospital in the town. But the doctors declared her brought dead.
