BSF trooper killed in accidental fire


Jammu, Dec 7 (IANS): A border security force trooper was killed in an accidental fire in Jammu district on Sunday.

"A trooper of 78 battalion of the BSF identified as Raman Kumar belonging to Gurdaspur (Punjab) sustained a fatal bullet injury when his service rifle went off accidentally in Gadigarh area (Jammu district) on Sunday," a senior police officer told IANS here on Monday.

"He was immediately shifted to the Government medical college where he succumbed despite best efforts of attending doctors to save his life," he added.
