Udupi: 20-year-old student commits suicide at Padubelle

Udupi, Dec 7: A 20-year-old youngster hanged himself in his house at Padubelle near Shirva here on Monday December 7.

The deceased has been identified as Linton Menezes, a final year BCom student of a college in Shirva.

It is said that he hanged himself in his room some time between 11 am and 12 noon. Sources said that his 'last seen' time on WhatsApp showed that he was online till 11 am.

The reason for taking the extreme step is not known.

He leaves behind his mother and an elder brother.

Shirva police have registered a case.
