Kundapur, Dec 8: “The effort of our elders without expectations of profit has enabled the school to achieve such high standards. The students cope with their problem where quality education is high,” said Sahyadri Educational Institutes president Manjunatha Bhandary.

He was speaking in a programme after releasing a souvenir on the occasion of golden jubilee celebrations of Hakladi Kolkebailu Soorappa Shetty High School on Friday, December 5.

























“Having completed fifty years, the school should be upgraded to provide pre university education to rural region. It should grow to greater heights. Many students who are educated in the school have acquired high positions. They should not forget the school,” he said.

Golden jubilee festival committee executive president Balemane Santhosh Kumar Shetty presided. Mangaluru Maps educational institute president Dinesh Alva, Kshetra Manikolalu temple management committee president Halsanadu Jagadeeshayya, Saukooru Durgaparameshwari temple former trustee Kavradi Ashok Kumar Shetty, Kundapur businessman Abhinandan Shetty, advocate T B Shetty, Kshetra Dharmastala gram project Kundapur taluk project official Amaraprasad Shetty, District educational department Deputy director H Diwaker Shetty, Noojady Santhosh Kumar Shetty, Upralli Kalikamba temple president Badakere Manjunatha Acharya were present.

Headmaster and teachers who have worked in the school were honoured on the occasion. Acting headmaster Dr Kishore Kumar Shetty welcomed and gave a key note address, Journalist Rajesh K C and lecturer Vakwadi Ranjith Kumar Shetty compered the programme and teacher Sujatha proposed vote of thanks.

High school students presented dance drama 'Hoovi', Yakshagana 'Haribhaktha Dhruva', drama 'Chora Charanadasa' and Yakshagana 'Sudhanwarjuna'.

In the programme held on Sunday, December 6 evening, Moodbidri Alvas Educational Institutes chairman Dr M Mohan Alva said, “Completion of 50 years by an educational institute is memorable. Nobody can forget establishment of educational institutes during those difficult days. They should reach greater heights in the rural atmosphere.”

director B N Shetty, Jannadi Favourite Cashew businessman Shanker Hegde Holmage, Hakladi first grade contractor Rajiva Shetty, Alvas Nudisiri Kundapur unit president Subrahmanya Shetty were present.

School acting headmaster Dr Kishore Kumar Shetty, student leader Shanthi, committee office bearers were present. Welcome committee member Subhas Shetty Holmage welcomed. Journalist Rajesh K C compered the programme.

Students of Alvas educational institutes presented cultural dance programme after the formal programme. Thousands of people from various places in the taluk had come for the programme. The two day programme progressed smoothly with gaiety.

The festival programme was officially inaugurated by B Chandralekha J Hegde. Raghunatha Shetty Holmage hoisted the flag. Anagalli Narasimha Shetty Balemane inaugurated the new porch.

Celebration committee executive president Balemane Santhoshkumar Shetty presided over the programme.

ONGC company assistant general manager Narayana Naik, businessman Chandrashekar Shetty, Guddammadi Subrahmanya temple trustee Arunkumar Shetty, Hemmady Panchaganga farmer's service cooperative society president Rajeev Devadiga, Manikolalu Laxminarayana Hebbar, retired health official H Mahabala Shetty and businessman Chattaranjan Hegde were present.

Acting school headmaster Dr Kishore Kumar welcomed. Teacher Sanjeeva Billava compered the programme.
