Anirudh Ravichander dedicates concert to Chennai flood victims


Toronto, Dec 10 (IANS): Young composer and singer Anirudh Ravichander, who will be performing at the Powerade Centre in Brampton here on Saturday, has dedicated his concert to victims of flood-hit Chennai.

Ravichander, who has composed songs for Tamil films like “3”, “David”, “Irandaam Ulagam”, “Velaiyilla Pattathari” and “Maari”, took to Twitter on Thursday to express his sympathy to the people of Chennai.

“Landed in Toronto. Thanks to all the fans who welcomed us at the airport. Dedicating the concert and proceeds to the Chennai Floods victims,” Ravichander tweeted.

Ravichander is best known for composing the hit single "Why this kolaveri di", which was sung by Tamil star Dhanush. The song has received over 100 million views on YouTube.
