Mumbai, Aug 23: Andheri coordinating committee of Billava Association Mumbai held the diamond jubilee celebration of Association at Workers Welfare Centre, located in Andheri East recently.  Association president Jaya C Suvarna presided over the programme while trustee of Powai Temple Suvarna Baba inaugurated the programme by lighting the lamp.

Harish G Amin, managing director of E M S Electrical and Engineering Pvt Ltd, Rajesh Kotian, secretary of Purushottam High School, Bandra and Cap Venugopal were the guests of honour announced financial assistance for the activities of the Association.  

“Billava community has been progressing by following the ideology of  Narayana Guru who preached harmony among the diverse religious followers through peace and brotherhood,” Suvarna Baba said while gracing the occasion. 

Association vice-president Y Nagesh, coordinator Shankar D Kotian, honorary treasurer Bhaskar V Bangera, Akshaya editor M B Kukyan, women division executive president Jayanthi V Ullal, diamond jubilee celebration committee secretary C T Salian, honorary secretary Nithyanand D Kotian were present on the dais.

Honorary secretary Harish Salian, joint secretary Ashok Karkera, Jagannath Karkera assisted in the programme.  Variety of dances and drama ‘Good bye Kudla’ was performed by Udayaranga artistes.
