Mumbai, Dec 14: Ryan International Group of Institutions hosted International Football Players from Ambassadors Football, USA.
Ryanites, all enthusiastic to learn nuances of football, interacted with the football stalwarts. The much celebrated football fever of young Ryanites got a much needed boost when they played a friendly tournament with the international players. The international soccer players Stephen Burks, Jonathan Ortlip, Jonathan Hamilton, Dana McGregor, Aaron Tredway, Aaron DeLoach, Josh Kimball and Jordan Burt from the Ambassador’s Football Club, USA came to India on a specific initiative.
The students of the Ryan Group leant some exceptional and tricky football skills from the ace players of the game, at various positions like the forward, defense, midfield, goal keeping and so forth. The football teams of various Ryan branches participated in the tournament with the members of the football club.
It was an exciting and rejuvenating football match with all cheers and applause. For budding footballers it was indeed an exhilarating experience to be a part of this tournament and play with the international soccer players. The students were all grateful to Dr A F Pinto, chairman, of the Ryan Group for this excellent opportunity given to them. They put their best skills forward during the matches. While speaking on this event Grace Pinto said, “Sports has always been close to our hearts. Events, such as this are always on our calendar. Our aim is to provide an international exposure to our students in sports and help them to have a bigger vision and achieve it. We are grateful to our Lord Jesus for continuously enabling us to provide practical and meaningful holistic education to our children and make global citizens.”
